UWC is the only global educational movement that brings together students from all over the world – selected on personal merit, irrespective of race, religion, politics and the ability to pay – with the explicit aim of fostering peace and international understanding. |  | | UWC makes education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. | UWC mission statement In order to contribute to this mission, UWC Germany is organising a Short Course that will take place in August 2009. 60 young students from all over Europe will come together to start "Shaping Society!" They will get to know examples of youth initiatives that inspire, take action through Community Service and develop skills for an effective engagement with society. In addition, they will make friends from all over Europe, thereby building a network that can support future initiatives. |
